 You've probably heard of the famous "sinking house" of Montmartre, but what is it, and where can you find it? This charming street is situated in the 18th arrondissement, and it begins at the top of Montmartre, wrapping around the hill and eventually leading to Avenue de Saint-Ouen. Named after the celebrated French naturalist Jean-Baptiste de Lamarck, the street was officially opened in 1867.

If you're a romance buff, then Montmartre and its streets are a must-see. Today, this is a place where you can buy beautiful paintings, and even get a portrait painted of yourself! But don't get too carried away - you won't find a better price anywhere else!

Rue de l'Abreuvoir is one of the prettiest streets in Montmartre. You can also visit Maison Rose restaurant here, where the pink walls and green shutters are the perfect backdrop for your Instagram photos. The 1850s-style house was a popular spot for promising artists. It became famous in 1900 after a painting by Maurice Utrillo was published. A tour of the city's streets will provide you with a sense of the rich history of the area.
